چکیده

In this work, we present a detailed experimental study of pulse formation mechanism in an EDFL, hybridly mode-locked by use CVD monolayer graphene onto D-shaped optical fiber and nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR), under large intracavity dispersion influence (up to 100 times) ranging from 12.3 1382 m cavity lengths. Analyzing the spectral evolution, temporal soliton behaviors pulse, our results revealed presence four laser operating regimes with non-soliton short ultralong lengths, all related graphene/NPR nonlinearities, propagation influences.

Polarization rotation vector solitons in a graphene mode-locked fiber laser.

Polarization rotation vector solitons formed in a fiber laser passively mode locked with atomic layer graphene were experimentally investigated. It was found that different from the case of the polarization locked vector soliton formed in the laser, two extra sets of spectral sidebands always appear on the soliton spectrum of the polarization rotating vector solitons. We confirm that the new se...

Three key regimes of single pulse generation per round trip of all-normal-dispersion fiber lasers mode-locked with nonlinear polarization rotation.

We show experimentally and numerically new transient lasing regime between stable single-pulse generation and noise-like generation. We characterize qualitatively all three regimes of single pulse generation per round-trip of all-normal-dispersion fiber lasers mode-locked due to effect of nonlinear polarization evolution. We study spectral and temporal features of pulses produced in all three r...

Dissipative solitons in passive mode-locked fiber lasers with nonlinear polarization rotation technique

The passive mode-locked fiber lasers are of great interest for a study of diversified features of a soliton dynamics. Dispersion parameters and a form of intensity-dependent nonlinear losses in the fiber lasers with nonlinear polarization rotation technique can be changed in a very large range that provides a distinct manifestation of varied soliton properties including a quantization of an int...

Stability calculations for the ytterbium- doped fiber laser passively mode-locked through nonlinear polarization rotation

We investigate theoretically a fiber laser passively mode-locked with nonlinear polarization rotation. A unidirectional ring cavity is considered with a polarizer placed between two sets of a halfwave plate and a quarterwave plate. A master equation is derived and the stability of the continuous and mode-locked solutions is studied. In particular, the effect of the orientation of the four phase...
